What a waste of talent
We have seen Arthur Hill over the last 30 years a dozen times, truly enjoyed every one of his albums until last night. Usually, every one of his shows has a segment where he goes very mellow and sad, but this night that's all he played. After 2 and a half hours, hearing only 2 songs we knew, none that we enjoyed, we just left before the end. Some of his own songs were so unknown, he even forgot the words to his own music. It started to go from bad to worse when he began doing deceased artists' songs, such as Lowell George and Warren Zevon. We sort of knew what was coming when we didn't see a drum kit/ amps on the stage. The crowd got antsy in the second half when he said he wouldn't play anything they requested. We've been to hundreds of concerts over the years, the first time we didn't stay all the way. I understand you want to mix it up over the years, but throw in a hit number once in a while.
